About me
Danyatta is a Louisiana native (transitioned Texan for 20+ years) that thrives when amid Mardi Gras celebrations, crawfish boils, and Zydeco music. She has over 20 years in education. She is experienced in working with students and adults with a focus on relationship-building techniques that will create school and community environments that thrive. Her knowledge of data analysis, academic assistance, college and career preparation, relationship building, student inclusion, school improvement strategies, working with students with disabilities, professional development, and a variety of other educational components have been integral in her love for pushing students and adults forward to accomplish goals. These experiences in different capacities have enabled her to understand the vital role that all education professionals play in the lives of students, parents, and the community. She strives to continue encouraging students and staff to be the best that they can be. As the team lead for mental health and school counseling at ESC Region 11, Danyatta is committed to serving and pouring into the lives of others to help perfect schoolwide relationship building that leads to solidarity while promoting self-care and mindfulness.
