About me
Dana Minor is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a background in grief and bereavement, school counseling, and education. Dana has had a passion for The WARM Place for nearly 30 years. She first began with The WARM Place in 1994, and has served as a Houseparent, Facilitator, Monitor, Group Director, and currently the Program Director. Dana has been involved with El Tesoro de la Vida Grief Camp for over 20 years, where she has served as a therapist and camp counselor. She is Certified School Counselor and has provided guidance and counseling, training, and trauma support services in both HEB ISD and Fort Worth ISD. Dana served on the Speakers Bureau for the National Center for Youth Issues and began speaking nationally in 2007 on helpful strategies to empower educators in their approach with grieving children and adolescents. For over 20 years, Dana taught a variety of courses in the field of psychology at Tarrant County College and worked with area school districts and other mental health organizations to meet the ongoing needs of our community.
