Sherrie is an East Texas native. She is married to Ron and they recently celebrated 32 years of marriage. They are the proud parents of two “barely” adult children, a loving canine, and one large cat. She enjoys social gatherings, all things food, and being her kids’ biggest and loudest cheerleader. As a pre-empty nester, Sherrie is currently in search of a new hobby.
Professionally,
Sherrie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is also a certified
Mental Health First Aid Instructor with the NATIONAL COUNCIL for Wellbeing and an Independent Facilitator of the
Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® Curriculum.
Sherrie has 25 years of experience providing individual, group, and family counseling services, as well as professional development training and community education. She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Southwestern Adventist University.
Her professional experience includes school counseling, medical social work (hospital and long-term care), inpatient/outpatient behavioral health, and private practice counseling.
Sherrie is certain that God has called and positioned her
to equip individuals with the knowledge, tools, and resources to support mental well-being, facilitating one’s ability to fully Laugh, Learn, Live, and Love throughout life.
